Firstoff Alfa Tech Bulletin 00.91.01 set timing belt replacement interval at 50,000 miles and to my knowledge they never offically changed that interval in a superceding bulletin. However, I have tried to always change mine NLT 35,000. The timing cover is indeed oil-sealed. I have just yesterday purchased a 1991 Alfa Romeo

Whatis the rcommended servive interval for the timing belt and balance shaft belt? I have an Alfa GTV/Spider service disc from the manufacturer which states 100 000km, but the Oz Dealers state 60 000km or 5 years. Have the Oz dealers done this because of possible belt failures before 100 000km.
